On the night of 21 June, Carvoeiro Beach was filled with black and white, welcoming more than 30,000 national and international visitors.

According to the local council, “This year's edition once again saw a strong presence of foreign visitors, many of whom travel specifically to Praia do Carvoeiro for this festival, which is already considered a main tourist attraction for the region. This flow has contributed significantly to boosting the local economy, particularly benefiting the hotel, restaurant and local retail sectors”.

The council confirmed that: “there were no incidents, reflecting effective organisation and a coordinated security operation involving all the agents involved. The calm and positive spirit of the public contributed to the event taking place in an exemplary manner”.

In his statement, the Mayor of Lagoa, Luís Encarnação, highlighted: “It is with great satisfaction that we see Carvoeiro Noite Black & White increasingly establishing itself as a national reference event, capable of attracting thousands of people from various parts of the country and abroad. This edition was absolutely historic, not only because of the public's support, but also because of the safe environment, the beauty of the scenery we created on the beach and the economic impact it generates in our municipality. This is an event that values culture, creativity and people. It is, without a doubt, a great victory for everyone: the organisation, partners, business people and residents of Praia do Carvoeiro.”

He added: “This is an event that involves a lot of logistics and, therefore, requires a huge effort on the part of our services. Those who participate in this event do not always realise the work that goes into it all, and so I could not fail to express my deepest gratitude to the tireless men and women of the Municipality of Lagoa,” said Luís Encarnação, Mayor of Lagoa.
