In a statement, Infarmed orders the voluntary recall of batch no. 331670A of Bilaxten (bilastine) 6 milligrams/millilitres (mg/ml), eye drops, solution, with an expiry date of August 2027, corresponding to packages of one 5 ml vial.
The recall of batch number 322950B of Lergonix (bilastine) 6 mg/ml, eye drops, solution, registration number 5843750 (one 5 ml bottle), with an expiration date until the end of May 2027, is also ordered.
“In view of the above, entities that have this batch of medication in ‘stock’ cannot sell, dispense or administer it, and must return it,” it emphasizes, emphasizing that “patients who are using medications belonging to this batch should not interrupt treatment.”
Infarmed reminds patients that, “as soon as possible, they should request a replacement with another batch or ask their doctor or pharmacist to recommend an alternative medication.”
