The event, promoted by Albufeira City Council, claims to be “the biggest festival of its kind in the Algarve” and promises to attract thousands of visitors, following the record attendance recorded in 2024.
Over the three days of the festival, internationally renowned artists will take to the stage, with a highlight on the 7th being the Portuguese artist Diego Miranda, who will share the stage with Pette and Cirilo. On June 8th, the highlight is the Belgian Yves V, known for his performances on the biggest stages in the world, who will be accompanied by Tom Enzy and China. Closing the festival, on June 9th, will be the performance of Italian DJ and producer Alex Gaudino, preceded by Yves Larock and Mark Ursa.
Albufeira Sounds is part of the Municipality’s strategy to “reinforce the Albufeira brand as an excellent tourist destination”, promoting local economic development.
The event venue will also feature 50 exhibitors dedicated to local associations, culture and crafts, involving around one hundred participants from the municipality.
For the mayor, José Carlos Rolo, the festival is already an “anchor event for the Municipality”, with a relevant role in attracting new audiences to the region. Vice-president Cristiano Cabrita also highlights the “reinforced social dimension” of this year’s edition, which will support the Albufeira Volunteer Firefighters, and underlines the importance of consolidating Albufeira “in the main international tourist markets”.
Entry to the event is free.
